I was delighted when I saw this poster on the FPO blog. Hell yes. the Misfits deserve a poster that isn’t some scrawled and photocopied mess. The letterpress jumble to create their skull logo is pretty awesome, and I hate to think how long it took to get it just right!

Now, inspired by this awesomeness,  I’m going to blast Die, Die My Darling while I finish up a project.

I know, I know it’s already been blogged about in all the important design blogs, and yet I feel compelled.

Following their successful Girard collection, the House Industries guys have created an Eames set of 26 fonts, including frames and object options inspired by the Eames’ contribution to Mid-Century Modern style.

I have a special place in my heart for Charles and Ray Eames, as I did a project in design school for which I designed materials for a fake exhibition of the various work from Charles and Ray. It was quite an undertaking since the duo was prolific in so many areas, from filmmaking, to surface design, to furniture design.

Anyway, I just think this is really exciting, and the fonts are beautiful! I am definitely considering a splurge, because really, can anyone have too many fonts?

• For typography nerds, seeing mistakes can be maddening.

• A new, advertising free magazine devoted to all things vintage, celebrates the possibilities of printing techniques and pays tribute to the 1950’s magazine Flair.

• A slide show of Thanksgiving dessert ideas.

• A new study shows that a surprising number of adults actually do read the newspaper.

• How cute is this girl? I can’t read the site but she’s stylish and adorable.
